Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak and understand Basic English

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles using hand truck or dolly
• Cleans vessels, piers, shop premises, parking lot, dry docks, and all work areas
• Collects and disposes trash following local and state laws
• Removes paint and scale from ships’ metal surfaces with hand or powered brushes
• Conveys material and tools to work site
• Extinguishes fires as needed per training provided
• Observes hot work to keep area free of obstacles and hazards
• Identify hazardous materials and apply proper safety precautions and PPE
• Run lines and leads for trades assigned to
• Set up equipment as needed per trade
• Adhere to all company safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment
