Job summary

Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Firewall Network Security Engineer to design and build secure network products for US government requirements. You will work with senior engineers on secure enclaves, implement COTS/GOTS solutions, and help harden systems.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years IT experience and hands-on Fortinet FortiGate/FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer experience, plus routing, NAT, and firewall policy expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of information technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (FortiOS, VDOMs, High Availability).
• Experience deploying FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer in cloud or on premises.
• Routing (BGP/OSPF), NAT, and network segmentation; IP subnetting.
• Designing and managing firewall policies, IPS/IDS, and threat controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with architecting network and network security products in secured enclaves.
• Assist with design and long-term roadmap planning for new and future scalability in secure enclaves.
• Define system security requirements, including authorization boundary and data classification.
• Design security interfaces and trust relationships between components and external systems.
• Implement security designs using COTS, GOTS, and open-source hardware/software.
• Oversee hardening and configuration of systems per DoD/IC guidance.
• Coordinate security assessments to identify control failures and recommend actions.
