Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise security operations in Fremont, California. This long-term contract role requires hands-on firewall administration, network protection, and secure infrastructure management to maintain resilient controls.

The engineer will review configurations, implement changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate threats and align security measures with business needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or a security-focused role.
• Proven Check Point firewall administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience with firewall policy management, rule review and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco ASA platforms and related network security functions.
• Experience supporting configuration management for security infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of core cybersecurity principles, risk mitigation, and secure network design.

Responsabilités

• Administer and optimize cybersecurity controls across network and infrastructure environments.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Check Point and Cisco ASA firewall platforms.
• Review firewall rules, implement policy updates, and enforce access controls.
• Maintain accurate configuration standards and support change activities.
• Investigate security issues affecting network defenses and coordinate timely resolution.
• Partner with technical teams to align security measures with infrastructure needs.
• Assess existing security configurations and recommend enhancements.
