BTI is seeking a Firewall Engineer Lead in the Washington DC area to direct all aspects of firewall operations and perimeter defense technologies. The role designs, implements, and manages secure enterprise network architectures while ensuring system availability and security compliance.

The candidate will oversee firewall administration, VPN management, and routing/support, while providing technical planning and leading the network engineering team to protect critical government and enterprise

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in cybersecurity, information systems or related field.
• Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years enterprise networking experience and 5+ years technical leadership.

BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

BTI is currently searching for a Firewall Engineer Lead to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:

The Firewall Engineer Lead directs all aspects of firewall operations, network security engineering, and perimeter defense technologies. This individual designs, implements, and manages secure enterprise network architectures while ensuring system availability and compliance with security requirements. Responsibilities include firewall administration, VPN management, routing and switching support, network security analysis, technical planning, and leadership of network engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• CCNP Security, CCSE, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 10 years of enterprise networking experience.
• Minimum 5 years of technical leadership experience.
• Expertise in firewall technologies, VPNs, routing protocols, and network security architecture.
• Experience supporting large-scale Government or enterprise environments.
