Carboline is seeking a Fireproofing Applications Technician in St. Louis, MO to apply intumescent and cementitious fireproofing products with precision.

The role involves setting up and operating spray equipment, preparing surfaces, and delivering samples on schedule while maintaining high quality. This hands-on position requires mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfort working with epoxies, fiberglass, and related materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; chemistry coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience or a combination of education and lab work.
• Must pass Jaeger Eye Test.

Responsibilities

• Lead mastery of surface preparation and application techniques for fireproofing products.
• Set up and operate spray equipment for demonstrations, training, evaluations.
• Ensure panels meet quality standards per QC procedures.
• Maintain and repair spray equipment, booths, and related tools.
• Represent Carboline in the field with short-term travel for demos and support.
• Operate mixing equipment and spray systems to deliver accurate applications.
• Interpret surface prep standards and inspect finished surfaces.
• Assist with evaluating new products and equipment.
• Manage panel orders from Sales and Technical Service teams, including scheduling.
• Stock materials and supplies for department operations; uphold safety rules.
