Built for the Badge seeks a Firefighter Trainee for multiple locations in El Paso, TX. The role offers a contract between $39k and $57k per year and requires entry-level education plus driver’s licenses and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED or higher; two (2) years of general work experience or twelve (12) post-secondary semester credits with minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Licenses: Texas Class C Driver's License (or equivalent); Texas Class B Driver's License Permit (or equivalent) at entry; CPR certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom lectures, response simulations, live field exercises, ambulance and hospital clinical rotations, and other activities.
• Includes rigorous physical preparation, written testing, and performance evaluations.
• Involves study and practice of job-related structural firefighting and basic/paramedic EMS per department rules and standards.
