Job summary

The Village of Fox Crossing is seeking applicants for the Part-Time Firefighter position to provide coverage during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12-hour weekend shifts from Friday evening through Monday morning.

Applicants must commit to a minimum of four shifts per month. Required certifications include Wisconsin Firefighter I, EMS First Responder or higher, and NIMS 100/200/700; a Driver Operator - Pumper certification is desired.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification required.
• Driver Operator - Pumper certification (desired).
• Current State of Wisconsin EMS First Responder Certification or higher.
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, and 700.

Description

The Fox Crossing Fire Department is creating an eligibility list for the position of Part-Time Firefighter. Those hired will assist in providing coverage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on the weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts). Applicants filling these positions will need to work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.

Examples of Duties

The position requires skills and abilities in Fire and EMS emergency response, fire inspections, apparatus driving and operation (if certified), public education, and customer service. A detailed position description is available by request.
