City of Southfield Fire Department is seeking a highly qualified Fire Fighter/Paramedic. Must possess State of Michigan Paramedic License before hire, be a U.S. citizen 18+ and hold Michigan Firefighter I & II certification.

Lateral applicants must be sworn firefighters in good standing. Responsibilities include responding to fire, rescue and medical emergencies, conducting drills, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be a State of Michigan Paramedic licensed before date of hire.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, 18+ at application.
• Must hold State of Michigan Firefighter I & II Certification.
• Lateral applicants must be sworn Fire Fighters in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Respond to fire, rescue, first aid, and related emergencies.
• Participate in daily drills and training activities.
• Maintain equipment, apparatus, and facilities; perform housekeeping.
• Engage in fire safety surveys and pre-plans; respond to emergencies on 24-hour shifts.
