Job summary

Qualifications

• Able to meet standards established by superiors.

Responsibilities

• Test and maintain ambulances, pumping engines, and other equipment.
• Participate in fire rescues, fire prevention, and training activities.
• Respond to EMS calls and administer first aid.

Skills

Ability to learn technical firefighting and EMS techniques

Some mechanical knowledge

Ability to keep simple records and prepare reports

Ability to respond to and put out fires

Education

Fire Fighter I and Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) training

Current Kansas driver’s license

Class B driver’s license
