Responsibilities

• Responds to fire calls and uses firefighting skills to control emergencies.
• Operates pumps, ladders, hoses and related equipment at scenes.
• Provides emergency medical care at the first responder level.
• Performs inspections of PPE and equipment; conducts maintenance.
• Completes incident reports and maintains documentation.
• Inspects hydrants and conducts pre-incident planning.
• Educates public on fire safety and participates in drills.
• Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance as needed.
