Job summary

City of Alpharetta, GA seeks a Firefighter to perform fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue operations, and community risk reduction. Under a Fire Captain or Lieutenant, you will respond to calls, operate apparatus, perform rescue and ventilation, and provide care according to certification level.

This role requires physical fitness, rotating shifts, and adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have NPQ Firefighter I certification and HazMat certification.
• EMT or Paramedic certification required.
• Must possess and maintain Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire, medical, rescue, and other emergencies as assigned.
• Operate and maintain fire apparatus, pumps, and equipment.
• Conduct primary/secondary searches to locate and rescue individuals.
• Provide emergency medical care per certification level and protocols.
• Perform pre-plans, community risk reduction, and educate the public.
• Complete reports and documentation accurately and timely.
