Job summary

US-Defense-Logistics-Agenc is seeking a Firefighter (BLS/HAZMAT) to deliver a full range of firefighting duties in DoD settings. You will respond to emergencies, operate equipment, and participate in rescue and life support tasks.

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience, DoD 6055.06-M certification or equivalent (IFSAC/Pro-Board), Firefighter I & II, HazMat Tech, EMT-B with reciprocity, CPR, EVOC and a valid driver’s license. Expect demanding shifts and protective gear usage.

Qualifications

• One year specialized experience directly related to duties.
• DoD certifications or equivalent (IFSAC/Pro-Board) mandatory.
• State EMT-B certification with reciprocity if required.
• CPR certification and valid driver's license required.
• EVOC and Driver Operator - Aerial training within one year.

Responsibilities

• Fight fires, operate hose lines, forcible entry, and search & rescue.
• Conduct hazardous materials operations and decontamination.
• Perform or assist in rescue operations.
• Provide basic life support as EMT-B.
• Assess and determine emergency response/equipment needs; operate emergency vehicles.
