Job summary

Springbrook Software in Cottonwood, AZ is seeking a firefighter to respond to emergency calls and participate in fire suppression, EMS, rescue, and hazmat operations.

Under general supervision, you must hold AZ FFII (or IFSAC/Pro Board FF II) and AZ EMT certifications, HazMat First Responder, and a valid AZ driver’s license; CPAT readiness is required. CPAT must be current within six months of offer. Medical clearance required annually.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma orG.E.D. Requires valid Arizona State FFII certification (or valid IFSAC FF II or Pro Board FF II certification) andcurrent Arizona EMT certification. Alsorequires Hazardous Materials First Responder certification (meeting OSHA1910.120 requirements). Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications

An Associate’s degree from anaccredited community college, college, or university. Current Arizona Paramediccertification. Fire apparatus operation training and experience. Bilingual inEnglish/Spanish.

Physical Requirements

Work involved in thisclassification includes exposure to major hazards during the suppression andprevention of fires, mitigation of hazardous materials, emergencymedical/rescue and disaster response.Must pass medical physical by Fire Department physician annually. Must possess a current, valid CPATcertification issued by National Testing Network (NTN) or another licensed CPATprovider. CPAT certification must be completed within the past six (6) monthsof offer acceptance date.
