POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions through identifying customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick up.
• Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrates products to customers.
• Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for sales at the Gun Counter.
• Replenishes stock as required and maintains product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintains pricing and signage.
• Assists with seasonal merchandise moves, keeps work area clean and stocked, and follows all company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience in Firearms and Ammunition.
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing and walking.
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Frequent communication with others.
• Occasional repetitive motions, machinery operation, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds with team assistance.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Makes recommendations for work procedures and policies.
