Job summary

Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking a Cashier to process store transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter. You will operate a cash register, scan items, handle payments, returns, and provide friendly service while maintaining accurate transactions and promoting products.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, answering questions, stocking displays, following firearm-related procedures, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment. DOJ Certificate of Eligibility required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with cash register or other point-of-sale system (POS).
• Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Minimum age 18 and High School diploma or GED.
• Basic PC knowledge and grasp of new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with locating items, providing recommendations and a positive experience.
• Operate POS system, process payments, returns, and issue receipts accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized cash counter and restock shelves while meeting merchandising standards.
• Follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards, and restricted items like guns/ammo.
• Collaborate with team to meet sales goals and promote new products.
