Job summary

Williams Gun Sight is seeking a qualified Firearm Instructor & Range Safety Officer in Davison, MI. In this part-time role, you will teach USCCA or NRA sanctioned classes and also work 1–3 days per week as a Range Safety Officer on our ranges, indoors or outdoors.

Instructors may earn commissions on certain one-on-one sessions. Responsibilities include leading sanctioned classes, one-on-one instruction, and promoting safety and customer satisfaction within Williams’ retail and range environment.

Qualifications

• Certified instructor through USCCA or NRA.
• Extensive firearm experience and safety knowledge required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for long periods; heavy lifting may be required.
• Part-time role with weekend availability and hours 9:30 AM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and leading USCCA or NRA sanctioned Firearm Classes on behalf of Williams Gun Sight.
• One-on-one instructional session with Williams range customers.
• Work with shooters on firearm safety and range procedures.
• Provide a positive customer experience within Williams’ ranges and retail environment.
• Maintain a clean firearm range and work environment.
• Ensure public firearm ranges are operating in a safe manner.
• Provide assistance with range maintenance which may require heavy lifting and exposure to lead.

Williams Gun Sight is looking to add a qualified instructor to their roster for USCCA or NRA sanctioned classes. On average our instructors will teach one to two sanctioned classes per month based on customer demand. In addition, all of Williams instructors are required to work 1-3 days per week as a Williams’ Range Safety Officer on our indoor and/or outdoor ranges. While scheduled as an RSO, instructors have the ability to earn commission while teaching one-on-one classes for Williams’ customers.
