Job description

Overview

Troubleshoots, maintains, tests and repairs fire detection and suppression equipment. Follows appropriate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure proper maintenance and maximum life of the equipment. Reports problems through the work order system and suggests solutions to systems and equipment. May participate in the planning and execution process for remodeling and construction. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. NICET certification preferred.
  3. Requires general knowledge of electrical and equipment repair.
  4. Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  5. Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
  6. Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  7. Requires related work experience in a commercial or construction environment working with electronic fire protection and sprinkler systems.
