Job summary

ARK is seeking a Commercial Fire System Installer to install and commission commercial fire and security systems in the Baltimore area. You will work on control panels, wiring, conduit runs and field devices, ensuring code compliance.

Daily you will coordinate with on-site customers and the project manager, maintain drawings and perform basic panel programming and testing. ARK will cover Maryland/Virginia licenses as required.

Qualifications

• COMMERCIAL Experience required.
• Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
• 3-5 years of related industry experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required.

Come aboard the ARK as a Fire & Security System Installer - COMMERCIAL

The Commercial Fire System Installer is responsible for installing various electronic systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installation of control panels, panel and system wiring, conduit and raceway and field device terminations.
• Coordinating daily scheduling with the customer on-site.
• Daily communication with project manager.
• Maintaining drawings and/or schematics.
• Perform troubleshooting as required
• Conducts quality assurance.
• Timely completion of associated documentation.
• Basic panel programming and setup/ testing.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of alarm system requirements and the ability to interpret code books and handbooks.
• Able to utilize a laptop with system application software, etc.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work well with others

Education and Experience:

• COMMERCIAL Experience required
• Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
• 3-5 years of related industry experience.
• Valid driver's license
• Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
• Must be willing to work at heights
• Must be able to operate electrical tools
• Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
