Summit Fire & Security, a trusted leader in fire protection with operations across 40 states, is seeking a Kitchen Fire Suppression System Technician in Seattle. You will inspect, repair, and install kitchen fire suppression systems including Detection & Control Systems, with emphasis on NFPA compliance and safety.
Applicants should have 2 years in Fire Life Safety, certifications (ICC, FEX1, E4), and experience with Ansul, Amerex, Pyro-Chem, Range Guard.

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Kitchen Fire Suppression System Technician who’s ready to help keep commercial kitchens safe (and yes, be the hero behind the scenes when things heat up a little too much). In this role, you’ll inspect, repair, and install kitchen fire suppression systems, ensuring everything is running safely, smoothly, and fully compliant—because in this line of work, “close enough” just isn’t a thing.
Experience with industry-leading manufacturers like Ansul, Amerex, Pyro-Chem, and Range Guard is essential, and your expertise will play a key role in protecting people, property, and a lot of busy kitchens.

The purpose of the Fire Suppression Technician is to provide installation, inspection, service and/or repair of Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Exit Lights and/or any Pre-Engineered Suppression Systems including any associated Detection & Control Systems with minimal supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift 50lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Employee is required to see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus. Employee will occasional be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.
Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise. Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Employee must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies while visiting locations.
