Job summary

Telgian Engineering & Consulting, a Telgian Corporation unit, is seeking a Fire Suppression Designer to develop sprinkler systems for diverse clients nationwide. You will collaborate with Professional Engineers and own design projects, with opportunities to work beyond NFPA standards and travel if desired.

You will complete CAD setups, perform verifications, and revise drawings as needed, contributing to a strong, collaborative team environment and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 3 years CAD design experience in the Architectural, Construction or MEP trade, required.
• Prior experience in Fire Suppression Contracting Design in the construction field, required.
• Prior experience in REVIT and BIM preferred.
• NICET certification in Level I or II preferred
• High School or GED required
• 2 years’ college or specialized training in Fire Protection or CAD Technical School; Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection, Engineering, or CAD, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CAD backgrounds and file structures for design coordination.
• Perform design verifications and basic hydraulic calculations.
• Revise and edit drawings from QA and AHJ/Client reviews.
• Print, plot and process drawings for internal and external use.
• Advise Senior Designers of potential issues or scheduling concerns.
