Job summary

Eagle Fire Inc. in Richmond, VA, is hiring for a skilled fire protection installer to complete layout, fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance of fixed fire protection systems.

You will follow manufacturer instructions, read blueprints, verify materials, and coordinate with the Field Supervisor to minimize disruption for customers. A valid driver's license and 2+ years of sprinkler experience are required, with opportunities for overtime and ongoing certification.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sprinkler installation and service experience.
  • Ability to read diagrams blueprints and design specifications.
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of fixed fire protection systems.
  • Follow manufacturer instructions, codes/standards, and Company policies.
  • Interpret blueprints for proper system installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Verify and select materials according to job specifications, tracking and communicating material needs.
  • Organize and prepare materials and equipment for job sites.
  • Identify and communicate necessary changes to proposed work to Field Supervisor.
  • Plan installation/repair sequence to minimize impact on customer activities.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes, joining and securing them using proper standards and techniques.
  • Maintains clean and neat job sites.
  • Upholds Eagle Fire's reputation in all transactions.
  • Commit to working until obligations are met, potentially involving overtime.
  • Complete continuing education for required certifications/licenses.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • 2+ years of industry experience in Sprinkler Install and Service on Wet, Dry, Pre-action and Deluge systems.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and design specifications.
  • Experience with trade tools and equipment such as pipe threader and groover
  • Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
  • Fire Sprinkler Manufacturer’s Certifications
  • NICET certification
  • Has practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the last 5 years
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull
  • Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed
  • Comfortable working in various temperature conditions and exposure to loud sounds
  • Fluent in English, effective communication skills

The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data for comparable roles. The published range represents our expected hiring range for candidates who meet the requirements of the role. While most offers will fall within this range, we may consider compensation outside the published range in exceptional circumstances where a candidate's experience and expertise would bring significant additional value to the organization.
