Job summary

The Fire Sprinkler Technician at Thompson Safety installs, tests, inspects, services, and repairs fire sprinkler systems at customer sites. You will respond to emergencies, troubleshoot faults, and prepare inspection reports to ensure systems operate safely and in compliance with codes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience as a sprinkler technician, NFPA knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
• Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and fire sprinkler systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations for installation, service, and upgrades.
• Respond to emergencies during and after business hours.
• Perform inspections (Annual, Semi-annual, Quarterly) of Life Safety Systems.
• Write and provide inspection/service reports with deficiencies noted.
• Troubleshoot faults and diagnose system issues; take corrective action.
• Maintain records of work performed and inventory.
