Job summary

State Fire is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our Reno team. You will service wet, dry, and antifreeze systems, inspect components, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system readiness.

Travel within the region with occasional overnights. Required: 3+ years in fire sprinkler/life safety trades, valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to pass background and drug screening. Nevada licenses and MSHA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire sprinkler/life safety trades required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Knowledge of fire/building codes, OSHA requirements, and fire sprinkler systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Flexible hours and on‑call availability.

Responsibilities

• Service wet, dry, and antifreeze sprinkler systems.
• Inspect sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, alarms and related components.
• Troubleshoot systems and repair or replace faulty parts.
• Test water flow, pressure, and alarms for system readiness.
• Perform preventive maintenance and code compliance checks.
• Travel within the region; occasional overnights.
