Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Nebraska seeks a skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose deficiencies, use hand tools and testing equipment, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes, while documenting work and communicating with customers. Relocation is available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above is preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
