Job summary

Fx Fire Protection Services is seeking qualified personnel to inspect and test fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, and fire pumps across industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities in accordance with NFPA and local codes.

Strong knowledge in fire pump testing, repair, and inspection is required, with travel to customer sites and report generation from inspections. NJ driver’s license is needed; NICET certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of wet, dry, deluge, pre-action systems and associated equipment.
• NJ state license is a plus.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards is a plus.
• Current NICET certification in fire sprinkler subfield is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems.
• Generate reports based on inspection findings.
• Interact with customers and travel as needed.
• Possibly inspect fire alarm systems and portable extinguishers.

STRONG KNOWLEDGE IN FIRE PUMP TESTING,REPAIR & INSPECTION A MUST. Other duties may include the inspection of fire alarm systems, and portable fire extinguishers. Generating reports based on inspection findings. Job Requirements Minimum 3-5 years experience with fire sprinkler system inspection, testing, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems to include wet, dry, deluge, pre-action systems, fire pumps and associated equipment. Plan reading and interpretation a plus. Valid New Jersey Driver's license. Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus. Electrical knowledge with fire alarm panels a plus. Current NICET certification in fire sprinkler subfield a plus.Good written and verbal skills. Computer knowledge. Must be able to work well on ladders and/or lifts, able to work in crawl spaces and attics, and must be able to lift in excess of 75 lbs. NJ State Fire License a plus.
