Job description

Position Summary

Conduct repairs on multiple life safety systems, including Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, Clean Agent, and Fire Pumps.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Troubleshoot and repair fire protection systems following inspections and emergency calls.
2. Disable and enable fire alarm panels for system maintenance.
3. Select appropriate pipe sizes, types, and related materials such as supports and hangers for layout and installation.
4. Ensure availability of materials based on knowledge of fire protection system repair.
5. Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe connections using threaded, soldered, brazed, or grooved joints with hand tools.
6. Inspect and test installed systems following NFPA testing guidelines and using approved equipment.
7. Complete all required paperwork and reports, including daily logs of time, progress, parts, materials, and labor.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
2. Knowledge and skills pertinent to the position.
3. Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
4. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

1. Ability to meet physical requirements.
2. Own all necessary tools.
3. Capability to climb and work at heights, including confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
4. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
5. Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
6. Adherence to safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned.
7. Pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
8. Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
