Fire Sprinkler Service and Inspection Technician

Position Overview

We seek a dedicated candidate with a strong work ethic to join us as a Fire Protection Technician trainee. This role involves assisting experienced technicians in inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and sprinkler systems. It offers hands-on training to prepare for certification as a Fire Protection Technician.

Responsibilities

1. Inspection & Testing: Assist in inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and sprinkler components, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and documenting findings.
2. Maintenance & Repairs: Support maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of fire systems under supervision.
3. Documentation & Reporting: Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all activities.
4. Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training and shadow senior technicians for practical experience.
5. Compliance & Safety: Follow safety policies and ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical installation, low voltage, or repair.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay can reach up to $41.40 for inspectors and $47.15 for service team members, with quarterly bonuses and weekly pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, company-paid disability and life insurance, training, 401(k) with matching, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, and generous paid time off.
