Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Foreman to lead installation crews for fire sprinkler systems and other life-safety projects. You will read plans, ensure on-site safety, coordinate with crews, and drive project progress.

Requires two to three years of experience in installation or pipefitting, excellent attention to detail, and a valid State Driver's License for company vehicle use. We offer competitive pay, overtime, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards.
• Proficient in reading plans with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to establish productivity onsite and set goals for employees to meet deadlines.
• Able to read documents and discern colors for safety signage.
• Willingness to pass background checks.
• Reliable transportation and a valid State Driver's License for use of company vehicle.
• Desirable: Pipefitter Apprentice Program (Levels 1-4) with Journeyman certification; First AID/CPR; OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for handling, storage, installation, and testing of materials and performance of the site.
• Follow designed plans and communicate needed design changes to fit site requirements.
• Manage materials delivered to site and perform minor fabrication; document change orders.
• Lead an installation team; may oversee a large job with multiple crews; conduct weekly safety meetings.
