Job summary

Jet Pipe Industries, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is seeking motivated welders to join our welding assembly line team in Phoenix, AZ. You will prep and fabricate fire sprinkler piping using Stick, MIG, Plasma, and other methods, while following layouts and ensuring quality.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year welding experience or training, can read blueprints, and work well in a team. Physical lifting up to 50 lbs and overtime availability are required in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of welding experience or basic welding training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up welding machines including Robot, NAP, and Cypress systems.
• Use welding techniques such as Stick, MIG, Wire, Air Arc, Trackwork, and Plasma.
• Work on will-call orders and follow layout specifications.
• Move, lift, and position pipes and materials (up to 50 lbs) throughout the fabrication area.
• Perform air pressure tests and visual inspections to ensure product quality.
• Read and interpret basic labels, layouts, and instructions.
• Work safely in a warehouse environment with exposure to heat, cold, sparks, and glare.
