Job summary

TEC Carolinas is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Installation Lead for Fort Mill, SC. You will oversee installation, coordination with the GC and engineers, and ensure NFPA 13/25 and state code compliance on new construction and tenant improvements.

You’ll lead field installation, review plans, manage materials, and promote safety while maintaining the company vehicle and inventory for efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3+ years of hands-on fire sprinkler installation experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25 and NC/SC Fire Code.
• Role-specific safety training; comfortable with ladder work and scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, modifications, and repairs of fire sprinkler systems for new construction and tenant improvements/build-outs.
• Interpret drawings and plan symbols to guide field installation.
• Identify code violations and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Perform overhead work and maintain safety at all times.
• Maintain and organize the service vehicle and inventory.

Fire Sprinkler Installation Lead (New Construction)Location: Fort Mill, SCEmployment Type: Full-time, On-site (Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week)A day in the lifeYou kick off the morning with a crew huddle, reviewing plans and plan symbols, aligning on goals, and confirming materials and lift access are ready. By mid-morning, you’re leading layout and installation for a new sprinkler system—routing pipe, hanging, and coordinating with the GC, building engineers, and property managers. After lunch, you’re verifying compliance with NFPA 13 and 25 and NC/SC Fire Code, correcting anything out of spec, and documenting code issues with recommended fixes.
