Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Foreman to oversee complete installations in commercial and industrial buildings. You will lead technicians and install teams, interpret drawings, and ensure project goals and safety standards are met.

Requires 3+ years of commercial sprinkler experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lead and report deviations. Training and career development opportunities are available with a company vehicle where applicable.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial fire sprinkler systems, installing and testing fire suppression equipment.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work.
• Ability to act in a lead capacity and report deviations through inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret installation requirements from project drawings accurately.
• Delegate tasks to fitters, mechanics and assistants to meet deadlines and goals.
• Install and test fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects.
• Manage materials at site and perform minor fabrication on job site.
• Update daily installation progress notes on contract drawings.
• Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, or other personnel in installation processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Fire sprinkler foreman is responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, and industrial buildings. They manage specific installation projects assigned to them by the Fire Sprinkler Manager. Foremen oversee the technicians, installation fitters, and assistants working at the site. They ensure the entire installation process is done flawlessly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Fire sprinkler foremen use project drawings to interpret installation requirement details accurately and entirely.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to fitters, mechanics and assistants as needed to fulfill project completion deadlines, meet scheduling requirements, and exceed the goals established by the fire sprinkler manager.
• Install and test installation of fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects
• Be responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on job site.
• In charge of updating daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings.
• Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, or other personnel in the basic process or service, repair, and/or system installation
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification

• Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
• Must have 3 plus years of experience in Commercial fire sprinkler systems, Installing, and testing of fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects
• Must hold valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record to be approved to drive company vehicle.
• Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work.
• Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity. Requires the ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
