Job summary

State Fire is seeking an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Apprentice/Install Helper in Elko, NV to assist licensed technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

• Previous fire sprinkler experience with install/contract work preferred.
• Willingness to continue learning and advancing in the fire sprinkler trade.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a national criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis and random testing as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, on-call rotations, and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Read, review, and follow plans, drawings, and job specifications.
• Load, unload, lift, and transport pipe and sprinkler materials.
• Use trade-specific tools such as hand tools, saws, and pipe cutters.
• Follow MSHA and OSHA safety requirements at all times.
• Participate in required training.
• Work 10-, or 12-hour shifts when necessary, and on-call rotation as needed.
