JM Electronic Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Service Technician in the Austin area. The role focuses on ITM for water-based systems, interfacing with property managers, and reporting on deficiencies and necessary repairs.

The ideal candidate holds an active RME-I license, NICET II or equivalent, and has strong NFPA knowledge. The position includes on-call responsibilities, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Active Texas RME-I (General Inspector) license required.
• At least 2 years of field experience on water-based fire protection systems.
• NICET II in Inspection & Testing or equivalent RME-I credential.
• Strong NFPA 13, NFPA 25 knowledge and local codes.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct routine ITM on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems per NFPA 25 and AHJ.
• Tag fire sprinkler systems following State Fire Marshal regulations.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or upgrades as needed.
• Perform trip testing of dry valves, flow tests, tamper switches, and pump tests.
• Complete digital reports and deficiency logs using company software.
• Communicate status and required repairs to clients and local authorities.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
