Job summary

Columbia Fire Protection Corp. is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector in Columbia, NY to inspect and test commercial fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards and local requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems, with 2+ years of inspection experience and strong NFPA 25 knowledge. A valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and excellent customer service are required.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems is required.
• 2+ years of fire sprinkler inspection experience.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 25.
• Experience with wet and dry sprinkler systems; pre-action experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled fire sprinkler inspections and testing per NFPA 25.
• Inspect wet and dry sprinkler systems and related components.
• Conduct water flow tests, main drain tests, and other inspection procedures.
• Conduct fire pump testing when applicable.
• Document system deficiencies and code compliance concerns.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation.
• Communicate inspection findings and recommended repairs with customers.
• Maintain assigned equipment and company vehicle.
• Participate in on-call rotations.

A growing fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join its team. This position is responsible for inspecting and testing commercial fire sprinkler systems while ensuring compliance with applicable NFPA standards and local requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong sprinkler inspection experience, excellent customer service skills, and a current NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems .

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled fire sprinkler inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 25
  
• Inspect wet and dry sprinkler systems and related components
  
• Perform water flow tests, main drain tests, and other required inspection procedures
  
• Conduct fire pump testing when applicable
  
• Identify and document system deficiencies, impairments, and code-related concerns
  
• Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation
  
• Communicate inspection findings and recommended repairs clearly with customers
  
• Maintain assigned equipment and company vehicle
  
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
