Job summary

Atlanta Sprinkler Inspection in Georgia seeks a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to test and inspect fire and life safety systems, including sprinklers and backflow preventers, with cross-training in fire alarm. The Inspector will produce detailed inspection reports and help promote services for identified deficiencies.

Requirements include at least 2 years in the industry, NICET II or ACE certification, Georgia state certs, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' industry experience in fire protection.
• State of Georgia certifications required.
• NICET II or ACE certification in water-based testing/inspections.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, reference and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and inspections of life safety product lines, including fire sprinklers and backflow preventers.
• Complete inspections with accurate documentation and timely reports.
• Coordinate between inspection findings and service requirements with scheduling staff.
• Stay current with NFPA standards and industry changes; pursue NICET updates as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fire Sprinkler Inspector

The Fire Sprinkler Inspectoris responsible fortesting and inspection of fire and life safety systems including, but not limited to, fire sprinklersandbackflow preventers(firealarm cross-training is a plus).The Inspector will provideaccurateand detailedinspectionsreports,with all proper documentation of improvements and complications andassistin selling Atlanta Sprinkler Inspection services for any identified deficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality courteous service, and by applying experience,knowledgeand training.
• Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels,devicesand critical components
• Perform routine inspections,testingand services of life safety product lines.
• Thoroughly complete inspectionsin a timely manneras scheduled and interface withtheInspection Coordinator to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.
• Willingto coordinate between inspection deficiencies and servicerequiredto correct found deficiencies.
• Utilizes an online scheduling calendar to receive and understand the individual scheduled tasks, customer locations, andmaintainother company documents asrequired(timesheets, safety audits,etc).
• Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results withcustomers.
• Turn in required paperworkin a timely manner.
• Maintain equipment,suppliesand companyvehicle(if supplied) in good working order.
• Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
• Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 2 years' industry experiencerequired.
• State ofGeorgia certsrequired.
• NICET Level II required or ACE certificationin water-basedtestand inspections(dependent on state requirement).
• Good verbal / written communication and customer service skills.
• Mechanical & math aptitude.
• Exceptional computer skills, professional and organized.
• Previousexperience in the fire protection industry preferred.
• Valid state Driver’s Licenserequired.
• Willing to pass post-offer drug screen,referenceand background check

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection testing, maintenance and installation isrequired.
• NICET Certification isrequired

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Regular bending, reaching,climbingand walking.
• Mostly aphysicaldemanding role.
• May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
