Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards.
  • Supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors; mentor on-the-job training to entry-level fire alarm inspectors.
  • Act as a mentor, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
  • Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations; discuss deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Follow and maintain structured inspection schedules; perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types; maintain complete and accurate documentation; generate reports and upload to required city municipality websites.
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to peers.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience performing ITM (Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire/Life Safety Systems.
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
  • On-the-job experience estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs.
  • Must have or obtain NICET Level II Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems or state certification within 12 months.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted; able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver\'s license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • 3+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.

  • The pay range for this position is $38,430 - $65,880. Actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
