Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Foreman to oversee installation of fire sprinkler systems and pipefitting projects on active sites. You will read plans, coordinate crew activity, ensure safety standards, and maintain quality workmanship across the job site.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. A valid Florida driver’s license and clean background are required; OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards.
• Proficient in following written and verbal instructions with attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to establish productivity onsite and set goals for employees to meet deadlines.
• Competent in reading plans, documents, and discerning colors for safety signage.
• Eagerness for professional development and growth.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Reliable transportation and valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for company vehicle.
• Desirable certifications and skills (not required): Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program with Journeyman certification; First Aid/CPR; OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily site inspections for handling, storing, installation, and testing of all materials and performance of the site.
• Follows designed plans and communicates design changes to fit site requirements.
• Manages materials delivered to site and minor fabrication on site, documents change orders.
• Leads an installation team and may oversee large jobs with multiple crews, conducts weekly safety meetings.

What you need:

• Two to three years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards.

Arkansas - AR State Fitters license or minimum of 4 years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards.

What you will do:

• Conducts daily site inspections for methods of handling, storing, installation, and testing of all materials and performance of the site.
• Follows designed plans, communicates needed design change to fit actual site requirements.
• Responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on job site, and documenting change orders.
• Leads an installation team and may have responsibility for a large job with multiple crews on location, conducts weekly safety meetings with team(s).
