Fire Sprinkler Designer page is loaded## Fire Sprinkler Designerlocations: Jacksonville, FLtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-100819**THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL** Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm System Designer responsible for the design and engineering of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes and project specifications. This position is responsible for designing and engineering systems as represented by Sciens, and responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all associated projects. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing training, in-house training, and on-the-job experience as it relates to design. The Fire Alarm System Designer applies engineering principles to every design to meet code and customer requirements; review product specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be installed in customer facilities; interface with AutoCAD drafters, project managers and sales team, and support their various needs. The person in this role follows all quality procedures that relate to design, engineering, and drafting. **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)*** Design systems in accordance with NFPA and project specifications.* Participate in the review process with other design team members and drafters, as requested by management.* Using software such as AutoCAD, develop floor plans, riser diagrams, schematics, system power calculations, and control panel layouts.* Review all designs before submitting for approval to ensure they meet Sciens quality standard and code requirements.* Follow all Sciens policies and procedures during daily work activities.* Work independently or with others as a team to complete all tasks and related design functions.
