Job summary

Cosco Fire Protection in Corona, CA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Design Assistant Manager with senior-level experience to lead the design team. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, improving processes, and guiding the design department for business growth in the Corona market.

You will oversee design activities, coordinate with MEP teams and contractors for BIM, and drive adherence to NFPA standards while developing staff and recruitment strategies for design capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years in Fire Protection Design & PM; 10+ years preferred.
• NICET III certification; IV or PE preferred.
• Experience supervising designers and coordinating projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct team activities and prioritize schedules to design fire sprinkler systems.
• Provide technical oversight of drawings, calculations, and deliverables.
• Develop process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency and quality.
• Coordinate with MEP teams and General Contractors for BIM (Revit/ NavisWorks).
• Recruit, mentor, and train designers for design growth.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and perform first-level plan reviews.
