Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales Representative - Experienced

Brea, CA

The LA / Orange County District office of Cosco Fire Protection offers a challenging and growth-oriented opportunity for the right entrepreneurial-minded individual. We seek a motivated team player with established relationships in the local construction community to help us expand our offerings in the LA and Orange County areas. A strong fire sprinkler background is essential. Job Responsibilities:
  1. Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department, working collaboratively with District Management to execute strategies to meet these goals.
  2. Identify and qualify targeted projects; foster local customer relationships to generate tangible sales.
  3. Engage in industry associations and the customer community to develop and grow the Cosco brand in this market.
  4. Establish contact with prospects, qualify potential buyers for new construction and service contracts, and follow up on leads using outlined marketing strategies.
  5. Develop and maintain customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns, and providing technical support.
  6. Ensure profit objectives are met throughout sales and project execution.
  7. Create layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.
  8. Process proposals and contracts efficiently, providing necessary information to operations staff for turnover and billing.
  9. Seek out new customers, including cold calling, to expand Cosco's customer base.
  10. Manage projects post-sale as needed.
  11. Estimate related service work and small projects, including day-work.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of fire sprinkler sales experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and NFPA codes.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation skills, and sales achievements.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • College degree in business, construction management, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous sprinkler design experience, including hydraulic calculations, is preferred.
  • Project management experience in fire sprinklers is preferred.
  • Ability to close sales and handle various sales situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
Additional Details:

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Brea, CA

Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervision, but guidance during project execution is expected.

Certifications: None required; NICET certification is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
