Job summary

DiVal Safety Equipment, headquartered in Green Island, NY, is hiring a Fire Service Technician. The role covers servicing fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and eye wash stations with a focus on quality workmanship within the New York Fire Service Division around Albany.

Training will be provided. This full-time position requires self-motivation, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel, excellent benefits, and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong self-motivation and a professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• No prior service experience is required; training is provided.
• Willingness to travel, including overnights, as workload scheduling requires.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for long periods.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on safety; follow safety training and report concerns to management.
• Perform services on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, eye wash Stations and AEDs on-site at customer locations.
• Replenish First Aid Kits and PPE vending machines.
• Coordinate daily schedules with supervisors and management as part of a team.
• Arrive prepared to perform scheduled services and complete daily paperwork promptly.

We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual to service fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and eye wash stations ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and professionalism within our New York State Fire Service Division with a major focus in and around Albany, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Focusing on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to, reporting any existing or potential safety concerns to management
• Perform required services on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, emergency eye wash stations and AEDs according to established safety requirements on-site with our customers
• Replenishment of First Aid Kits and PPE vending machines.
• Coordinate daily schedules with supervisors and management, working as part of a team
• Promptly arrive at facilities prepared to perform the services as scheduled
• Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required
• Effectively and efficiently communicate any issues/problems with management
• Complete vehicle cleaning and maintenance duties as directed
• Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management

• Strong self-motivation, with solid confidence level
• Excellent communication skills, always representing DiVal Safety in a professional and positive manner
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• No prior service experience necessary, training is provided
• Available to travel including overnights as deemed necessary based on workload scheduling
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.and spend the majority of your day on your feet or walking
