Role Overview

The Fire/Security Technician I reports to the Service Department and Operations Manager. Responsibilities include commissioning, maintaining, repairing, and supporting Fire Alarm Systems (e.g., Siemens, Silent Knight, VESDA, Simplex, Notifier, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, DMP). Travel to client sites across Pennsylvania, including occasional overnight stays, is required.

Candidate Profile

Motivated team players passionate about Life Safety and Fire Alarm Systems, eager to grow their expertise and deliver exceptional service. Key duties include on-site installation, inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, reading technical drawings, and participating in on-call rotations.

Location
  • Preferably based in the State College/Williamsport area
  • Travel primarily within Pennsylvania, with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Minimum Requirements
  • Electronics background with fire alarm system experience
  • Ability to commission and modify fire alarms
  • Experience with multimeters and basic electronic theory
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • At least 1 year of fire alarm installation experience
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field preferred
  • NICET certification and manufacturer training a plus
Physical & Mobility Requirements
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders, access elevated areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and crawl spaces
  • Visual acuity of 20/40 or better, color vision required
