Job summary

ECC is seeking a Fire and Security Technician in Wichita, KS to install electronic systems and support customers. You will work under supervision to install, label, rack equipment and perform on-site staging while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes precise documentation, communication with Lead Tech, and adherence to company technical standards. A valid driver's license and OSHA-10 or equivalent is required, with willingness to travel and work nontraditional hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance if driving for business.
• Basic understanding of blueprints and drawings.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 100% and travel nationally.
• Willingness to work long hours, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Equipment installation including wiring and rack setup.
• Maintain safe, accurate documentation and on-site organization.
• Provide professional customer interactions and represent ECC positively.
• Adhere to technical standards and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with Lead Tech and communicate issues or changes clearly.
