Job summary
A leading facilities management provider is looking for a Fire & Security and Emergency Lighting Engineer in the South East. This full-time, field-based role includes installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, along with intruder alarms. The ideal candidate will have FIA Units 1 & 2, experience with relevant systems, and good diagnostic skills. The position offers a salary of £34,000 to £40,000, overtime opportunities, company benefits, and a commitment to training and career progression.
Qualifications
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience within commercial and retail environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of current fire safety and electrical regulations.
Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
Skills
Proven experience working with fire alarm systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
Installation of emergency lighting systems
Installation and servicing of intruder alarm systems
Education
FIA Units 1 & 2 (Fire Industry Association)
18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22)
