Job summary

Telgian Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Field Inspector to perform fire sprinkler, alarm and pump testing at assigned customer locations. You will follow written or oral instructions, maintain accuracy, and communicate clearly with customers, officials and management.

The role is safety-sensitive, requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and any jurisdictional certifications as required.

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: As required by Jurisdiction

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and Environmental Health & Safety standards.
• Capable of conducting inspections independently
• Perform fire alarm and sprinkler system tests and surveys; generate final report on status and recommendations.
• Communicate all changes in status on assigned work orders to Support Services.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers to resolve conflicts relating to survey and report deliverables.
• Ensures inspections reports are completed accurately and on-time using Mobiliti; all IVR and payroll time entries are made on time and accurately.
• Identifies ways to improve productivity and quality in the delivery of our product/service.
• Identify ways to reduce cost in the delivery of our product/service.
• Identify training programs that could improve technical knowledge of the field staff and present these to the Lead Field Engineer.
• Maintain test equipment in good working order and make requests for replacement or acquisition of damaged or non-issued tools.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
