Job summary

24hr-Safety is seeking a dedicated Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, repair, and test extinguishers on client sites. The role involves dismantling units, replacing worn parts, and ensuring compliance with NFPA-10 standards.

On-site work with lifting required, plus travel 10–20% and on-call availability. Qualified candidates will have a TX Type B Fire Extinguiser License, a TWIC card, and 3+ months of extinguisher service experience, along with strong communication and independent work

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
TX Type B Fire Extinguiser License required.
3+ months extinguisher service experience.
Current TWIC Card.
Good verbal and written communication.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Willingness to travel.
Must follow NFPA-10 for inspections.
Ability to work independently.
Flexibility for long hours, on-call, weekends and holidays.
Must distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and test fire extinguishers using hand tools and monitoring devices.
Dismantle extinguishers and replace worn parts; inspect mechanical parts and extinguishing agents.
Clean extinguishers and recharge with approved materials.
Assist in fire safety inspections.
Work on-site with lifting heavy objects; on-call weekends/holidays; travel 10–20%.
All inspections, repairs and maintenance follow NFPA-10.
