Responsibilities include operating arc, MIG, and TIG welders, reading drawings, welding components per specifications, and working in multiple positions. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork with project managers to ensure solid, code-compliant welds.

Qualifications

• Operate welding equipment and machinery, such as arc welders, MIG welders, TIG welders to fuse metal components.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand the welding specifications and join metal components accurately.
• Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing to verify the quality of welds.
• Correct any defects or imperfections in the welds, if necessary.
• Work in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead, as required by project.
• Work closely with project managers and other teams to ensure the proper alignment and assembly of the fire and life safety system.
• Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
• Identify and trouble shoot issues related to welding.
• Other duties as assigned.
