Just Construction Recruitment's client, a full-service fire protection company, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to report to the General Manager and coordinate across departments to improve efficiency, structure, and performance.

You will work with department managers to implement policies, workflows, monitor revenue goals, and use company software to streamline processes; NICET is desirable; 12–15 years in the industry.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years in senior supervisory positions with 3–5 years in an operational role.
  • At least 12–15 years in the fire protection industry.
  • Knowledgeable in NFPA codes and AHJ requirements.
  • NICET certification or similar accreditation desirable.
  • Proven P&L experience and a business mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the General Manager to manage and improve overall company operations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to establish, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, workflows, and accountability.
  • Ensure each department operates efficiently and works toward monthly revenue goals.
  • Monitor departmental performance and resolve issues hindering revenue and operational targets.
  • Apply knowledge of the fire protection industry to improve processes and support sound operational decisions.
  • Understand how sales, estimating, scheduling, service, inspections, projects, billing and follow-up move through the organization.
  • Stay informed on industry practices and day-to-day challenges faced by fire protection companies.
  • Evaluate workflows to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize company software platforms to streamline processes and improve communication.
  • Develop automations, reports, and workflows that increase efficiency.
  • Ensure consistency of processes across departments and set clear expectations and measurable goals.
  • Assist the General Manager with company-wide initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Continuously evaluate operations to improve efficiency, productivity, customer service, and profitability.

  • My client is a full-service fire protection company ( Alarms, Sprinklers & Extinguishers ), providing installation, maintenance, monitoring, and retrofit of fire safety systems with locations across the Panhandle
  • Due to internal promotion, they are looking for an Operations Manager to work across all departments and be involved the day to day running of the company
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to work directly under the General Manager and oversee the efficiency, structure, and performance of our full-service fire protection company
Job Summary
  • The Operations Manager will work closely with the managers of each department to ensure company policies, procedures, workflow processes, and organizational structure are clearly established, consistently followed, and continuously improved
  • Core Responsibilities

  • Stay knowledgeable about industry practices, operational requirements, and the day-to-day challenges faced by fire protection companies
  • Evaluate current workflows and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize the company's various software platforms to create streamlined processes, improve communication, reduce duplicate work, and increase efficiency
  • Develop creative solutions, automations, reports, and workflows that allow employees and managers to work more effectively
  • Ensure processes and procedures are consistently implemented across departments
  • Work with department managers to establish clear expectations, accountability, and measurable goals
  • Assist the General Manager with company-wide initiatives and strategic priorities
  • Continuously evaluate how the company operates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, customer service, and profitability
ABOUT THE CANDI DATE
Experience
  • 7-10+ years in senior supervisory positions and at least 3-5 years in an Operational role
  • At least 12-15 years in the Fire protection industry..
Technical Knowledge
  • Totally competent and have full understanding of compliance &; all NFPA codes (NFPA 25 for sprinklers, NFPA 72 for alarms) and local AHJ requirements
  • Knowledgeable in ALL Fire protection systems to include Alarms, Sprinklers & Extinguishers
  • Maybe have had previous "hands on" experience in the field but not essential
  • NICET or Similar accreditations are very desirable
  • Proven P&L experience is paramount and fully understand the sales process, so you must have a business mind set
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred. NICET certifications are a significant plus
