Fire Protection Layout Technician role at EMCOR Group, Inc. We provide end-to-end fire protection, mechanical, and HVAC services nationwide.

Job Title

Fire Protection Layout Technician

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of fire sprinkler systems for Industrial, Commercial, and Residential projects.
• Perform layout using AutoCAD/HydraCad, create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.
• BIM modeling
• Hydraulic calculations
• Field surveying
• Listing for fabrication
• Coordination between trades
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education / Work Experience: Associate or Technical or business discipline preferred; equivalent experience (Architectural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management).
• NICET certification preferred.
• High mechanical interest; experience in the Fire Protection Design Field is required.
• AutoCAD and/or HydraCad experience required.
• Ability to multi-task; valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Computer Skills

• Significant experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
