Job summary

Sterling St James LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to perform Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression design using AutoCAD, with BIM or Revit experience preferred. Open to entry to senior levels and recent graduates with relevant AutoCAD/BIM skills.

The role may include site surveys and customer proposals in a hybrid work setting in the Western Philly Suburbs. Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly preferred, with BIM/Revit experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with fire protection design is preferred but open to graduates with AutoCAD and BIM experience.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm and fire suppression systems for commercial facilities.
• Assist with site surveys and customer proposals.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet NFPA and client requirements.

We have a GREAT opportunity with a well-established, employee-owned company. We have an immediate need for a Fire Protection Designer (entry to senior level will be considered) to perform a combination of commercial Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Design using AutoCAD.

Prior fire protection design experience is a plus, but we will definitely consider recent mechanical or electrical engineering graduates that have AutoCAD and either REVIT or BIM experience.

This position is with a well-established fire protection company that is looking for their next generation of leaders. Company is located in the Western Philly Suburbs and there is some remote work flexibility.

We are open to speaking with experienced Fire Alarm Designers, Fire Suppression Designers, or recent Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduates that are interested in growing in the Fire Protection Field. All experience levels will be considered.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly preferred, and BIM or Revit experience is a plus. In addition to designing systems, you may also assist with site surveys and customer proposals. The company does not pigeonhole you! They will create a position around your strength and interests.
